Healing Broken Hearts. Treasures and Harmony Dust

If you have been following my blog,  you more than likely have figured out how I found my way to this organization. These woman have  courage, strength and hope in Jesus Christ. Their triumphant exit from bondage in the sex industry, drugs and alcohol addiction is nothing less  miraculous.I am fortunate and blessed to have been invited to the Annual Treasure Gala Fund Raiser last week.  Being able to support these women and celebrate their victory is one of the greatest feelings I have had in a very long while and has given me way to heal as well.What goes around comes around and love is the best thing for a broken heart.  Tears flowed freely and the Holy Ghost is most certainly present. American Guide # 32 Big Allan Sarlo (the mural).Wave Killer!

” Allan Sarlo aka “Big Al”, is one one cat who actually lives up to the often over used term iconic! Big Al has always been larger than life since high school days. Physically imposing, he was the first shinning star out of the former ghetto by the sea, (Venice,CA) I was aware of and indirectly a part of my life since the early 70s having grown up in the same neighborhood. Allan possess a flair for the flamboyant and he blew minds rolling up to the Venice Breakwater in the mid 70s in a Rolls Royce!  A real surf hero! Aside from theatrics and showmanship the guy can flat out surf and earned the nickname Wave Killer as he literally destroys the wave with his powerful surfing style. Allan has also been dubbed The King of Malibu Point taking that title from Robbie Dick (debatable) and has not been dethroned in three decades. Well I happened to be cruising  on 4th street at Ashland in Santa Monica , CA and there is Big Al,  the Wave Killer, 50′ tall and larger than life, doing what he does best, getting tubed!

I like to rock, we all like to rock no? Big Dave Estrada and Eric from the PrimaDonnas joined the Venice All Stars Sal, Mona and yours truly for several numbers including Chinese Rocks, Sonic Reducer, Front side Grind, 13 Foot Bowl and I Wanna Be your Dog.We had a gas and it was a pleasure to entertain you! Thanx all for showing up to the show. We will be doing a few more shows in 2013. dont miss us as we dont play out very often!
