R.I.P Nelson Elwell.

Nobody this side of John Bonham hit the drums with such the fury and style as you friend. We tripped the shores of Santa Monica,Venice, and beyond all the way to the metropolises of Japan together, gassing, fighting, jamming, and hollering all the way and back. Never has a man delighted in a beer vending machine, an unpublished script, classic novel or a Mozart score more than you brother. Connoisseur of life for sure, your talent, knowledge, and skill will live on in the many films and music you helped create and more importantly your son. Farewell Nelson.

Your homie, Ger-I

I played bass with Nelson in the early 80s in “High Voltage” with Paul Hood, Charles Benson and others. He was my wing man on stage and off….we broke the Fun meter together many nights together and I’m shocked by his passing. Had he been ill?
If someone else knows more please email me.
God bless you Nelson and thanks for the laughter and the Monstrous drumming!
BONZO has a new playmate in Heaven.
My thoughts and prayers are with Coleen and his son Eirc.
