Pornography destroys, corrupts and is a detriment to society. There was a time in my life I never gave a thought as to the results of pornography on our children, myself, and especially the women involved in this brutal trade. Trade? Yes pornography is a trade and what is traded is morality and humanity for money. `
While on active duty in the US Army I began watching pornography on a regular basis. The debasing and objectification of women corrupted my relationship with women, therefore I subconsciously viewed women as disposable and without compassion. I wasted and ruined one marriage and many relationships as a result of this subconscious and conscious reenforcement of questionable sex acts and outright brutality. It took many years of therapy to overcome this acceptance that pornography does no harm to anyone, especially myself.
Furthermore as my daughter was born 13 years ago, I asked myself would I want my daughter involved in pornography? Is it ok for her to watch pornography? of course the answer is a resounding , NO! Did you know national statistics reveal that upwards of 65% of 12 year olds have viewed pornography and 55% view pornography on a regular basis.
This could have been the end of my little rant on pornography and it s harmful effects on society but I had the uncanny chance of not only meeting but dating an infamous adult actress and entertainer. The following is a condensed synapses of my experience with her, it has left me broken in my heart (the brutality, abuse and destruction of this ugly business affecting me in a residual manor) and a desire to express to the world the human toll of the pornography trade.
For the past 6 months I have been caring for an increasingly disabled woman. I will refer to her as “Mary.”
She has become disabled physically as well as mentally due to her involvement in the pornographic industry as well as various abusive acts.
Having befriended Mary, I have become aware of the horrific virtual enslavement of women in sex trade. Control of these girls/women is achieved through drugs ( prescription and street,) and physical & mental abuse.
Mary has been mentally abused and raped from an early age, beginning at the age of 12 yrs old and by the time she became 18 she was involved in pornography & prostitution.
Much as a race horse is used to make profit for owners, Mary has been used to make pornographers and associated profit.
Mary has been fed a steady diet of street drugs, alcohol & prescription anti depressant to keep her working in pornography/sex industry.
Mary has suffered /survived brutal attacks, robbery rapes, despicable acts of abuse by men. Mary has been swindled out of all the money she made by a thug/pimp of an ex husband.
Now @ the end of her usefulness to pornographers, lawyers and associated predatory industry people, her only source of income is to work as a “Web Cam” model performing sex shows to perverts on the internet and prostitution.The constant fear of being beat or murdered on a call, the physical & mental abuse has left Mary a paranoid, depressed,alcoholic woman.
Mary has a plethora of serious disorders and maladies, among them severe gastro- intestinities that causes hemorrhage, a rare eye disorder, vertigo, nausea, intense migraine and spinal problem.Mary’s alcohol dependency is so severe that she has a physical dependency that requires a monitored medical detoxification. She ingests a daily cocktail of alcohol and prescribed drugs such as Vallum & Pristique to allow her to “work” This work mentally debilitates her more and more as the customers verbally insult & demean her which reinforces a destructive cycle of increased alcohol & prescribed drug use.
Mary is often unable to distinguish reality from fantasy. She watches conspiracy and end of the world programs virtually from the second she wakes until she sleeps with the programs running in a que sub consciously reinforcing a negative, harmful fearful attitude.She often is mentally and physically unable to perform daily chores such a laundry, cleaning, driving, shopping and cooking.There are times that she is so severely depressed she will not leave the house for weeks, get out of bed or even shower.
I have been increasingly caring for Mary.
First of all I have been paying Mary’s rent and utilities, this allows Mary not to “work” at the webcamera.
Moreover my presence gives her a connection to reality and a loving, caring person. This care has a positive effect on Mary’s general well being. Her attitude improves greatly as well as mental state.
The more contact I have with Mary the more her mental state improves. My presence keeps her from “working webcam” I am able to administer positive reinforcement therapy and genuine care to Mary.
You see Mary wishes to get out of this sordid trade. She has attempted in the past to break out of the vicious cycle but has been forced by necessity or coercion of unscrupulous porn associated lawyers.
Being a certified first responder, I recognize the severe and urgent need to get not only medical help for Mary but compassionate humane interaction.
I have had to monitor Mary often as her gastro problem causes her to vomit and defecate blood indicating severe dangerous hemorrhage. She becomes incapacitated often fainting or collapsing. I have had to carry her to bed and monitor her vitals
Mary is a very intelligent, beautiful, compassionate woman. She has a soul and a heart, it has been suppressed and virtually held captive by the sex trade. She has a 12 year old daughter who she cares for with out support from an abusive negligent ex husband.
It is my opinion that Mary is in danger of an accidental overdose and death.
I saw a glimpse of the beautiful person Mary is when lucid and able to express her feelings and desires but she needs so much more help than I’m able to give her.

excellent . you are doing a great job with compassion – men that watch porn think it’s harmless, but they wouldn’t want any of the women they personally know to be involved with it, so in that sense they can only view the women in porn as substandard and something other, something lower than the actual women they know in their real lives. this is dishonest. men think they are entitled to porn, as if it is a right as if it is like the air they breath or food. they fail to take responsibility and educate themselves about the women that work in porn and how it ruins lives.
I am not religious and I don’t see this as a religious issue either – it is a common sense one born out of compassion and care for others, as i reject the notion that it is okay to view other people as mere objects for self-gratification.

I write this all the time, but it needs repeating: nearly 100% of females in porn & prostitution [ branches of the human sex industry] begin at ages 11 to 14 AFTER PRIOR sex abuse: often the sex abuser forces drugs on them and even forces them into porn OR the child flees the sex abuse [ and the blame for the sex abuse] and needs drugs to sperate mind from body when the torture begins in the human sex trafficking industry that she gets trapped into after fleeing: most of the rest of the girls begin at ages 4 to 8. Then there are the girls who are trapped after believing they would get legal work in other countries since they support entire extended families, or they are part of the pay inequalty where females do most of the world’s work, starting as little kids, but get little to none of it’s pay, or far less then men. Always there are the domestic abuse fleerers who are supporting kids as the only parent to do so etc : thank goodness for men like Ted Bunch & Tom Laughlin of Billy Jack fame, & others like Nicholas Kristoff etc who are educating about sexual misogyny & how unmanly it is as it takes advantage of pampered priviledge & abuses the most vulnerable instead of protecting & standing for & with women and kids, most of all the girlchild: we have liberal/conservative /inbetween & those who transcend all lables involved…we need more men to fight the good fight & take a brave stand. & it DOES take real guts because it’s not ‘manly’ according to the cowards that ARE porn-culture to be against this abuse & stand for females. It’s only manly to them if a guy is a cowardly abuser, pimp, & or power structure-john, a pampered priviledged bully. True strength & bravery lies in doing the unpopular, rediculed COURAGEOUS thing of conscience. I’m glad this guy is taking a bold stand: THANKS !!

I would add only this: people who are pro-porn like it when we call this a social issue & thus THEY act like it is meerly a thing that changes according to societies whims or is a difference in moral opinion: this is about ABUSE ON GIRLS-WOMEN /SEXUAL MISOGYNY- [ HATE] VIOLENCE/ ABUSE & CRIME : IT EVEN INVOLVES WORLD HEALTH as you say since VD spread by those who are johns or who love porn can even spread a super virus around tyhe globe & one day kill off the human race, children & women are mamed & blinded & totured & die from these illnesses each day all over the world, armies line up & shot little girls if they gets AIDS in places like Thai secretly: this is a HUMAN RIGHTS travesty & WOMEN RIGHTS issues: it is also all ABOUT CHILD ABUSE on mostly the girlchild in it’s most accepted form: & it starts as a girlCHILD ABUSE issue: for all this to be called meerly sex and thus harmless is beyound inhuman & it is not a factor of societal views & whims nor is it an issue about meer social or moral opinion: these abuses & inhumanities mentioned above are not meer opinions or things that can be OK since society has changed & accepts it more & more now…it’s much harder for people to act like they give a damn about human rights, kids, women, the vulnerable, the abused, crime, super viruses, world health, child abuse, hate, violence on females, slavery, misogyny & say they don’t want to hear about all this:…but they love to say “It’s JUST [ as they see it “just” ] a social issue”. ps The Thai situation about little sex slaved girlchildren lined up and shot by soldiers if they get AIDS from johns was reported on A&E once in a documentary. ie as a way to help stop the Johns from getting AIDS to keep the sex [slave] tourism industry alive & well soldiers were suspected of doing this as the norm. And notice all the people so concerned about the greed of industries & profit at any cost…never includes taking on the porn/prostitution-human- sex trafficking industry !! Amazing ! The whole world is making quite a profit with their blood-stained hands in the cookie jar, from their vast media profit off of sexual misogyny & sexually abusing/exploiting the girlchild/women.

YEAH NAKED WOMEN ARE BAD! Not. I’ve worked in 2 strip clubs and the kind of experience you have completely depends on where you are. Sounds like Mary is having a rough go. That being said I can’t speak for the porn industry as I never have been a part of it.

Yes actually naked women being objectified, nothing more than a commodity to be exploited is “bad” (your words) I would not want my daughter to be subjected to this treatment or to treat herself in this way. Therefore I can not accept the status quo of human commodification. Money cannot purchase self respect or happiness. The liberal porn pushers with hatred of culture and country and sincerity subliminally suggests a cultured conservative society is “sexually sterile” .
This is a big lie because by portraying the body as cheap thrash (porn) will eventually lead to sterility and disgust for sexuality
and the human body.
It is a conservative cultured society which is actually sexually charged by the adoration and respect of the body and putting it on a pedestal.
The liberal porn agenda which is “everything goes” is actually anti sexual because it puts the body in a mental sewer.
It does this gradually and after a while the adult begins to be disgusted with sex (unable to separate it from porn anymore).
You will see liberal sites Saying “everyone looks at porn”.
Well IF that is so how do they know “Everyone agrees with same”?
The porn pushing losers say its impossible to live up to the standards of the bible.
Yes perhaps it is but at least someone following the bible is “TRYING”!
Which is a hell of a lot better than aspiring to be a demon as the porn low life concept promotes.
Everyone talks about world war 3 will it happen?
I say it is already happening and this time the target is not a country its aimed at the sincere individual who rejects porn.
Please remember one thing it is the pimp and the whore who are sexually sterile.

Okay, I understand the thing here but tell me one thing.
There are surely a lot of girls who are into Porn industry because of their own will.
Is it sort of immoral or harmful to the other girls in this case?
And talking about Human Trafficking, how deep is it related to Porn industry?

There is value, I believe, in acknowledging the fact that the insights you share are more than just applicable to one sex over the other. Albeit, heavily weighted to one side. The exposed child sex/human trafficking scandals of our U.S. Governments continued financial arrangements with Dyncorp, even subsequent to their conviction on these crimes; as well as the Boys Town and Catholic Church B.S. illuminates one small corner of this reality. Porn reflects, for the most part, the worst of all variations of humanities lower self.
I love and care for women right along with appropriate parallel concern for my fellow males. We should not; indeed must not, let there brew yet another opportunity for the “powers that shouldn’t be” to have us self divide our society along gender lines to be pitted against each other to their benefit. “Divide and Rule”: Only as long as we play along. I refuse to.
Identity Politics and P.C. Idiocracy is yet another masterfully crafted bait turd with an attractive aspartame candy coating. Well designed to inspire the masses to infight; while the social engineering supremacist sociopaths of both genders continue to play most of us like chumps. Let’s stop cooperating to the degree we are able to.
Granted, there are bad men. There are bad examples under every label. My point is that we should be mindful to oppose the bad and not the label.
That’s my todays level of understanding derived opinion. I could be wrong. More will be revealed; we’ll see.
